Sandbank principal psychologist Joe Tighe is a registered psychologist originally from Ireland but almost Australian now. He has experience from the Kimberley, Western Australia where he co-founded the award-winning Alive & Kicking Goals! Suicide prevention project in 2008. After moving to NSW Joe has worked on the Central Coast and Sydney in both the not-for-profit and private hospital settings in many areas including trauma, addiction, mood disorders and as a suicide prevention trainer (ASIST). He completed his PhD at UNSW/Black Dog Institute based on the trial of the world’s first app for suicide prevention (ibobbly) and is a member of the Reachout.com Clinical Advisory Group.


He has a respectful and trauma-informed approach to working with client’s that is centred on their immediate needs and priorities. Joe views a lot of his work as simply education. He takes a practical, solution-focused approach to help people learn about what is most important to them (values) and how to deal with the challenges that life brings for us all. He utilises a range of therapeutic techniques depending on the client’s needs however does enjoy the value-based work and mindfulness teachings within Acceptance and Commitment Therapy

Dr Sadhbh (pronounced Sive) Joyce is the principal psychologist and co-founder of Mindarma. She has over 20 years’ experience across clinical, academic and workplace settings. Sadhbh holds a PhD from UNSW Medicine and the Black Dog Institute and has translated her world-first research into an evidence-based program supporting thousands of Australian workers. Combining deep expertise with compassion and clinical understanding, Sadhbh brings a nuanced approach to her roles as a trainer, speaker, meditation teacher, clinical supervisor and workplace mental health consultant.

Jamie Watson (Writer)

Jamie Watson is a specialist in mental health content development and corporate training. Co-founder and CEO of Mindarma since 2016, he has implemented large-scale interventions across numerous frontline and government agencies, helping protect and support mental health for many thousands of Australian workers. An experienced copywriter, Jamie enjoys translating psychological concepts into content that is fun, relatable and engaging.

Tarn is a Master ASIST and SafeTALK trainer and offers expertise in training development and delivery, organisational policy development and implementation, and group and workshop facilitation.

Tarn’s passion lies in supporting marginalised communities to keep themselves and those they love safe. As a Queer person Tarn focusses on centring the experiences of marginalised communities in the work that she does. Tarn has developed and coordinated large-scale national projects in the LGBTIQA+, AOD, mental health and suicide prevention sectors, including the establishment and coordination of QLife, Australia’s first national LGBTQIA+ teleweb service.
